Iniesta: I have a good feeling about the rest of season

"There’s not much left, but it will be very intense."

Andrés Iniesta launched his new range of wines, Corazón Loco (Crazy Heart) and Finca Carril, at an event in Barcelona Wednesday.

The Spaniard, who dazzled in Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, took some time out to talk to the media regarding his side’s campaign.

"I have a good feeling about the rest of the season. There’s not much left, but it will be very intense," he said. "We arrive [in the final stretch of the season] in good shape. The method and model are bearing fruit. People are really enthused about what we are doing, which is important."

"Now we play for everything over 10 matches and we will fight for that," Iniesta added.

Andrés also said that, despite often being sacrificed in Luis Enrique's system, he is "enjoying" himself "because the form that we have is really good.”

Iniesta also responded to criticisms leveled against this season’s Barcelona midfield. He said that the midfield is trying to make sure that they are not sacrificed to give way to the deadly attacking trio of Messi, Neymar and Suárez.

"All areas of the pitch are important, but of course having three players of such quality up front is a guarantee for the team," he said.

Iniesta added that while having a front three like Barça’s is good for the team because “taking advantage of their maximum potential takes [the team] closer to victory,” achieving the right balance is also important. “It's about finding the balance in everything we do."

"My only objective is to get to this stage of the season with good feelings and that Barça win a title. That's what goes above everything else," the midfielder said.

He also talked about his assist on Neymar’s opening goal against PSG. The 30-year-old Iniesta glided past three PSG players before threading an inch-perfect pass for the Brazilian: "It was a nice move. It came off, it was quick and improvised. I'm very happy with how everything went and how Neymar ended the play because it was a goal and that's what matters," he said.

"The sensations are good and the objective of getting into the Champions League semifinal is complete," Andrés said.

With the Derbi Barceloní looming on the horizon, Iniesta added, “Now we have to think about the league. It will not be a war, but it will be a tough game. A derby is always special and I hope that things go well and we get the victory."

Regarding his back, Iniesta admitted that although he is “better” now, it is difficult for him to play “without pain.”

Fuentealbilla's finest also valued how his season has gone, conceding that there is still a little room for improvement: "I'm happy with how I'm doing," he explained, "but I can improve. I will never settle for how I'm playing. When I'm not in form, I have to try and improve, but that's also the case when things are going well."

When asked which wine he would be holding if he were to score an extra-time winner against Real Madrid in the final of the UEFA Champions League, the midfielder commented it will likely be the Finca Carril Valeria which is named after his daughter and is his favorite.
