Anecdotes about friendlies between Barcelona and Bayern:

Barcelona faced Bayern in the Joan Gamper trophy three times, winning all of them.

The Mohammed V trophy final 1969, played in Casablanca Morocco, ended 2-2 between Barcelona and Bayern. There was a penalty shootout with four kicks for each team. Gerd Müller took all the four Bayern penalties and scored three, Martí Filosía took Barcelona’s penalties, scored all four and won the title for Barça.

In 1979, during the European Toulouse tournament semifinal, Barcelona withdrew from the game against Bayern because Bio’s “paradinha” penalty goal (a small stop before shooting the penalty) in the shootout was denied by the referee.

Barcelona won the 2011 Audi Cup final against Bayern by a 2-0 scoreline. Thiago, Bayern’s current player, scored the two goals and was chosen as the MVP of the game.
