BILD claims Barça is interested on Özil, Mundo Deportivo denies reports
The Arsenal man has been linked with the club ahead of the clash at the Emirates Stadium
According to German newspaper BILD, Barcelona are hoping to snatch Arsenal star Mesut Ozil. The 27 year old German has not penned a new contract to extend his time with the Gunners which has Barcelona on its feet, aiming to sign the creative midfielder. The newspaper Mundo Deportivo was quick to deny reports, claiming that his agent is trying to generate interest ahead of renewal talks.
The German international has been of great aid to Arsene Wenger's team providing 17 assists in his 24 league appearances this term. Yet, Mesut Ozil has a contract with Arsenal until 2018 having signed a deal worth £42.5 million upon his arrival from his previous club, Real Madrid in 2013.
