Bartra and Vermaelen set to depart Barcelona next Summer
Both defenders could leave the club in search for more minutes, especially the Spaniard
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 30-year old defender Thomas Vermaelen, who joined Barcelona back in 2014, could return to the English Premier League in the summer transfer window. Sources also suggest that FC Barcelona are looking to sell Marc Bartra, possibly with buy-back option.
Marc Bartra has been left out throughout most of the games this season, and he has given indications that he is feeling impatient and it doesn't seem like his situation is going to improve any time soon as the club is currently trying to sign a new young defender who shows great promise, such as Laporte and Marquinhos, to partner Piqué on Barça's back-line.
Bartra has been left out of the squad 5 times out of the 12 games Barça played, which represent an absence rate of 42%.
