Neymar will be asked to testify in the case regarding his transfer

Sources say that the prosecutor will request his testimony

The Neymar case is moving along and, according to reports from the radio station Cadena Ser, the next chapter will see the Brazilian player testifying as a witness in front of the court. The trial could start in the fall.

Cadena Ser reports that the prosecutor will ask for testimony from 8 witnesses, amongst them Neymar due to him signing 9 of the 13 contracts through which the transfer was fractioned. Neymar's testimony is, as of right now, a request from the prosecutor, although according to sources asked by the radio station this request will be granted. Other witnesses would be some of the executives that Bartomeu mentioned during his testimony as having played a part in the redactation of the contracts.

The investment fund DIS is asking for 22 million for Neymar

According to Folha de Sao Paulo, DIS is threatening to sue Santos, Barça and the player's agents if they don't pay 22 million before April 30th. The Brazilian investment fund owned 40% of Neymar's federative rights before he was signed by FC Barcelona. The lawyer representing DIS, Paulo Magalhaes Nasser says "there are indications and documents that point out, in a clear way, the fact that was a series of contracts that were deliberately simulated between the signing parties in order to defraud DIS' economic rights." (The contracts he is referring to have been explained here.)

The paper claims that Santos, FC Barcelona and Neymar's representatives have received the document with DIS' requests on March 28th.
