Coutinho pushes for a move to Barcelona
The Brazilian continues to be keen to join the club, taking the initiative by sounding out the club
Barcelona might have another star Brazilian on the horizon with constantly links being made between the Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho. According to Guillem Balague, his international teammates, Neymar and David Luiz are persuading him to join Luis Enrique’s squad in the summer transfer window.
The 23 year old gave an impressive performance in Brazil’s recent 3-0 dominant win over World Cup finalists Argentina, leading to more rumors about a possible move to Camp Nou. However, according to Rafael Hernández, the club has no interest in signing the Liverpool man and it's the player that is pushing for a move, rather than the other way around.
This is corroborated by Barcelona technical director Robert Fernandez, in a recent interview with Cadena SER, cited the quantity and quality of the playmakers currently at the club.
"Coutinho is a great player, with a great condition, but we have a lot of playmakers. But, it isn't easy to find players who are capable of playing for Barça."
