Barcelona target De Jong impresses on his Netherlands debut against Peru
The youngster continues to attract attention all over Europe as his progression speeds up
De Jong would have joined Barcelona if it was up to the club in the last transfer window, unfortunately Ajax was adamant he wasn't leaving as Barça insisted nearly a dozen times throughout Summer. A known fan of Messi and the influence of Johan Cruyff's influence at Barcelona, Frenkie's path leads to Catalonia if everything goes well in 2019, however there will be competition for his signing, especially from Manchester City and Tottenham if reports are to be believed.
The young midfielder made his debut for Netherlands a few days ago and once again left the public in awe of his abilities. Below you will find a short video of his debut vs Peru, and as once Cruyff said:
"Playing football is very simple, but playing simple football is the hardest thing there is."
