Barcelona looks at Kyle Walker to solve its right back problems

The Catalan club is still on the hunt for a replacement in the right back position, after Dani Alves gave up the Barca shirt to join Juventus

Barcelona signed 27-year old Aleix Vidal to fill in Dani Alves’s spot, but the former Sevilla man failed to impress Luis Enrique, barely gaining any playing time. However, after months, Vidal forced his way into the starting line-up and just as he was beginning to shine in the Blaugrana jersey, the player sustained a serious ankle injury that is set to keep him out for the remainder of the season.

FC Barcelona is now on the lookout to sign a right-back, using the ‘emergency transfer’ loophole and according to the Evening Standard, Tottenham’s Kyle Walker is on the radar for La Liga giants. The English Premier League player is arguably having one of his best seasons at Tottenham, establishing himself as a prized asset to his side.

Despite Barcelona’s admiration for the England international, Tottenham will not let their star right-back go without a hefty price tag. Therefore, if Barca do pursue this signing, the Catalan club will most likely spend major money to fill in the right-back spot next season.
