Sergi Samper renews his contract until 2019
The release clause for the La Masia midfielder will be 50 million euros
FC Barcelona and the promising La Masia graduate, Sergi Samper, have extended their agreement for three additional years until June 30th, 2019, with one optional season. His release clause has been set at 50 million euros.
The Catalan footballer will fulfill his long-awaited dream and will become a senior squad player after having played in all La Masia categories. Samper arrived at the club with just six years old and have climbed all the way up to Barça B, where he has played the last three seasons participating in 103 matches and even wearing the captain armband during the last campaign.
Luis Enrique made him debut with the first team in the 2014/15 season in a Champions League match against APOEL at the Camp Nou. Since then, he has played 11 matches with the senior squad: four in the 2014/15 season and seven in the 2015/16 spell. He has now the opportunity to continue his formation under Luis Enrique's guidance.
