Sergi Samper joins Granada on a season long loan
The highly rated La Masia graduate will play this season under the guidance of Paco Jémez
FC Barcelona and Granada CF have agreed the loan of the midfielder Sergi Samper for the 2016/17 season. Samper who is one of the most promising youngsters in the Barça academy will play this campaign under the direction of the coach Paco Jémez, known for his attacking football and incredible exploits with Rayo Vallecano.
The Andalusian club made the official announcement via their social media accounts, welcoming the “Pearl from La Masia” to the Rojiblancos:

The responsible of FC Barcelona’s professional sections, Albert Soler, also said that Granada will take over the footballer’s salary and they are contractually committed to make sure Samper plays a minimum of matches otherwise they will face a monetary penalty.
Samper arrived the FCB Escola at the young age of six, diligently progressing through the Academy ranks all the way up to the Barça B squad, where he has played during the last three seasons. He has also performed for Barcelona’s first team a total of 12 matches.
