According to Sport, FC Barcelona plans to hand Sergi Roberto a pay-hike. The player is fulfilling the objectives in his current contract, and he will surpass the playing time which will see his deal automatically renewed.

In concrete, the La Masia product is set to play more than 60% of official minutes this season, Sergi Roberto will get a pay rise and his buyout fee will go from €30 to €40 million.

The 24-year old midfielder is currently tied to the club until 2019.
