FC Barcelona has informed this Tuesday morning that Rafinha Alcántara will not be available for the first leg match of the Last 8 Round Copa del Rey tie versus Real Sociedad. The Brazilian footballer has pulled the hamstring muscle of his right leg and will not be take part of the squad who will be travelling to San Sebastián on Thursday.

The club’s official statement doesn’t clarify when the attacking midfielder will be available to Luis Enrique’s orders as he will be watched closely to determine his return to the pitch.

All injuries are unfortunate but this comes with an special bad timing for the Brazilian since he was having playing minutes from the coach, and had taken part of the starting lineup in the two most recent matches. In total, Rafinha has played 18 games during this season, scoring six goals and providing four assists so far in all the competitions.
