PSG, Manchester United and City on alert as Busquets is yet to renew his contract
The recent declarations by the midfield led to bids from at least three different clubs
If Barcelona’s financial situation was supposedly unstable before, it might lead several big clubs to think they can sign Barça’s genius defensive midfielder, Sergio Busquets. According to Sport, Manchester United, Manchester City and PSG have made offers in an effort to sign the 27-year old Spanish international.
Busquets is reportedly worth £115 million which is a price these clubs can definitely handle. With the shocking move of Pep Guardiola taking on the reigns from Manuel Pellegrini as the new leader at the Etihad next season, Busquets might be tempted toward a move under his former mentor. Recently, Busquets has claimed that only two people could convince him to change his mind and leave the Catalans.
“One of those two people is my wife. The other person is Guardiola. It’s clear that I owe Pep a lot and I would be honoured to work with him again.” The la Masia homegrown footballer’s contract expires in 2019, as Barça has just started talks with his representatives to renew him beyond 2020.
